Located in a beautiful rural position and situated in a wildflower meadow, Bruntmoor is an ideal location to discover and explore the wonders of the Peak District. Just a short walk from the very start of the Tissington and High Peak Trail, you can walk and cycle until your hearts content. (Parsley Hay Cycle Hire does shut for Winter from 1st Nov until February). Limited light pollution also means Bruntmoor is perfect for star gazing.
We are lucky to have some wonderful eateries on our doorstep, including the award-winning Royal Oak at Hurdlow (5 min drive) the Bulls Head in Monyash (5 min drive) and several cosy pubs in Hartington (10 min drive) to name just a few.
The famous spa town of Buxton is a short 15-minute drive from Bruntmoor, most notable architecture comprises of The Crescent which is modelled on Baths Royal Crescent.
The Peak District offers enchanting villages, historic towns such as Ashbourne and Bakewell (both within a 20 min drive) and glorious ever-changing landscapes with some of the most breath-taking walking/hiking routes in Britain. Parkhouse Hill & Crome Hill (also known as the dragons back) are within a 10 min drive and were recently featured in the last episode of Peaky Blinders!
Also, in the close surrounding area you will find Castleton, home to the Blue John Caverns and Peveril Castle, The Monsal Trail, The Tissington and High Peak Trail, The Goyt Valley, Dovedale, Chatsworth House and Tissington and Haddon Hall are within an easy drive. Let's not forget the wonders of Kinder Scout, Mam Tor and Ladybower all around a 30 min drive. The Peak District has much to offer and lots to discover.
